bushy tailed
little white dog
yips at the heels
of the fool
who skips towards the cliff
leap of faith
stupid or brave

oh that fool will find out
when the fall is broken by daggers
straight through the heart
lost that swagger

carried out to sea
buried unceremoniously 
all possibilities
don't exist in this reality

aren't you so glad you tried
aren't you so glad you failed 
aren't you so glad to know 
you'll never be anything 
which makes you nothing 
but a fool

pale rose 
held in hand
sweet scent 
florals in bloom
promise a new life 
dark thorns pierce the veil
know the truth
tho it may hurt

oh that fool will find out
when the roses turn into ashes
dust in the wind
lost to madness

carried out to sea
buried unceremoniously 
all possibilities
don't exist in this reality

the fool becomes the hermit
reclusive
